MG Motor UK has officially been named the UK’s ‘Most Improved Automotive Brand for Customer Satisfaction’ in the prestigious YouGov UK Automotive Rankings 2026.

The independent study reveals that MG achieved the largest year-on-year surge in net customer satisfaction across all tracked automotive manufacturers in the UK, climbing an impressive 8.5 points over the past 12 months. This standout growth places MG firmly at the top of YouGov’s satisfaction improvement index.

Data-Backed Customer Approval

YouGov’s customer satisfaction metric calculates the net score by subtracting dissatisfied current and former owners from those who report being satisfied. The 2026 rankings are drawn from nationally representative data collected between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2026, solidifying MG's reputation as a rapidly rising consumer favorite.

Investing in the Customer Journey

MG's chart-topping satisfaction scores are the direct result of massive, strategic investments in its UK aftersales infrastructure and retailer support network:

  • Next-Day Parts Delivery: Opened in November 2025, a state-of-the-art 15,000m² parts warehouse operates in partnership with XPO Logistics. The facility guarantees pre-8:00 AM overnight parts deliveries to MG retailers nationwide, drastically cutting vehicle downtime.
  • Premium Roadside Support: MG Assistance has upgraded its policy to provide a genuine like-for-like replacement vehicle until the customer's car is repaired.
  • Dealer Courtesy Fleet: Significant capital has been injected into deploying a substantial courtesy car fleet across MG’s network of over 180 UK dealerships and approved repair centers.
