Oil changes should occur on a regular basis - preferably every 5,000 miles - and should always be reviewed prior to long road trips and during winter weather.

Unlike servicing, an MOT test certificate is a legal requirement, as it demonstrates the roadworthiness of your vehicle for use. A MOT test should be completed every 12 months on all vehicles aged over three years.

As soon as your vehicle is above three years of age, you will be legally required to take an MOT test every 12 months.
