MG Motor Celebrates Milestone One Millionth Sale in Europe

MG Motor has officially announced a historic landmark in its modern era: the delivery of its one millionth customer vehicle across Europe.

Since relaunching in the UK in 2011 with the MG6, the brand has transformed from a niche player into a mainstream powerhouse. Today, MG boasts a presence in 34 European markets supported by a robust network of over 1,300 dealer partners.

Driving the Electric Revolution

A core pillar of MG’s rapid ascent has been its "first-mover" advantage in the EV and hybrid sectors. By prioritizing affordability without sacrificing style or driving dynamics, MG has outpaced many established marques.

  • Electric Leadership: MG has delivered 317,000 EVs to date, anchored by the award-winning MG4 EV.
  • New for 2026: The momentum continues with the recent launch of the 2026 MG4 EV and the city-focused MG4 EV Urban.
  • Hybrid Growth: The brand saw a massive surge in 2025, delivering 139,000 Hybrid+ vehicles, proving that practical, high-efficiency motoring remains a top priority for European drivers.

Heritage Meets Innovation

While MG is focused on the future, its British sporting roots remain central to its identity. The MG Cyberster, designed at the company’s London studio, serves as the ultimate bridge between heritage and high-performance electric tech. The award-winning roadster recently headlined MG’s centenary celebrations at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

"MG has successfully returned to Europe’s motoring mainstream," says Guy Pigounakis, Commercial Director at MG Motor UK. "The underlying affection for the brand is valuable and greatly appreciated. This heritage continues to shape our strategic direction, but our return to prominence is equally due to our forward-looking approach—offering attainable technology and consistent value ahead of the curve."

Looking Ahead

With 386,000 total sales in the UK alone and a firm position as a top-10 manufacturer, MG is not slowing down. The company has confirmed a series of major announcements regarding technology and design scheduled for the first half of 2026, further cementing its commitment to the European market.
