MG Motor has officially announced a historic landmark in its modern era: the delivery of its one millionth customer vehicle across Europe.
Since relaunching in the UK in 2011 with the MG6, the brand has transformed from a niche player into a mainstream powerhouse. Today, MG boasts a presence in 34 European markets supported by a robust network of over 1,300 dealer partners.
A core pillar of MG’s rapid ascent has been its "first-mover" advantage in the EV and hybrid sectors. By prioritizing affordability without sacrificing style or driving dynamics, MG has outpaced many established marques.
While MG is focused on the future, its British sporting roots remain central to its identity. The MG Cyberster, designed at the company’s London studio, serves as the ultimate bridge between heritage and high-performance electric tech. The award-winning roadster recently headlined MG’s centenary celebrations at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
"MG has successfully returned to Europe’s motoring mainstream," says Guy Pigounakis, Commercial Director at MG Motor UK. "The underlying affection for the brand is valuable and greatly appreciated. This heritage continues to shape our strategic direction, but our return to prominence is equally due to our forward-looking approach—offering attainable technology and consistent value ahead of the curve."
With 386,000 total sales in the UK alone and a firm position as a top-10 manufacturer, MG is not slowing down. The company has confirmed a series of major announcements regarding technology and design scheduled for the first half of 2026, further cementing its commitment to the European market.
