Servicing your car has many benefits, not least making sure it runs safely and efficiently. It also helps preserve the resale value of the model should you decide to sell.
The recommended time to change your oil is every 5,000 miles, but you should also review prior to any long road trips you may be taking.
You will be alerted to your next service via the vehicle servicing warning light or notification on your dashboard.
While there’s often no obligation to use a main dealer, such servicing ensures higher standards of work and the use of manufacturer-approved parts and components.
Car servicing should occur every 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes sooner.
If you do not service your car, you may miss any underlying issues that go on to cause expensive repairs at a later date. Plus, should you have a financing agreement in place, you may find yourself in breach of the terms by failing to keep your model serviced.
