Job Description

We are looking for an Accounts Apprentice to join our fast paced accounts department in Eastcote. 

The job role includes:

  • Account payable: logging, coding, scanning all incoming invoices, reconciliation of supplier statements, BACS processing (circa 700 invoices a month)
  • Account receivable: chase outstanding debts and provide copies of statements and invoices for customers
  • Vehicle ledger: Log all vehicle invoices, deal directly with the manufacturers to resolve queries, warranty and parts processing.
  • Bank reconciliation: Ensure all bank transaction queries are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ad hoc: Filing, expenses, stationery/coffee orders

 

As the accounts department is centralised you will have the opportunity to move around the ledgers at a rate that suits you, there will be no end to the aspects of the business you could be involved in. This is not a job for someone who is not self-motivated. Past experiences have proven that if you work hard and excel in your job you will be rewarded, but to get them rewards you must go above and beyond and always try your hardest to do your job to the best of your ability.

 

Full on the job training to be provided and one day a week college attendance for underpinning knowledge. Candidate will work towards a full higher apprenticeship in AAT, NVQ, technical certificate, and functional skills, and employment rights and responsibility. Discussion for the right employee for further supported study (ACCA, CIMA etc)

You should have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and be able to fit comfortably within a reactive setting. The candidate must be driven and ambitious and be able to engage with other members of staff. This is not a job for someone who is not self-motivated. Qualifications required: GCSE (or equivalent) ; Maths, English, ICT (or Science) Grade C or above
