WLMG Kia introduces the new ‘big little’ Picanto

WLMG Kia is proud to launch the second generation Picanto to locals this month, proving that small cars can offer more of everything without ballooning in size and cost. With stronger performance and lower fuel consumption, the new Picanto achieves up to 67.3 and emits 100g/km CO2 or less on most models, resulting in free road tax and congestion charge exemption. Picanto is stylish, more spacious with higher quality but comes without a premium price tag, starting at just £7,995.
Offering motorists peace of mind with huge steps forward in safety specifications, the new A-segment Picanto is truly the small car grown up. The popular city car from Kia has been redesigned and re-engineered with stand-out styling with looks that convey a sense of solidity and fun. New car buyers will be pleased to know that every new Picanto will also be backed by Kia’s seven-year warranty.
Naeem Hanif, Managing Director, WLMG Kia comments: “We are really excited to present the second generation Picanto to drivers. The newly designed Picanto will give drivers another reason to buy into the growing Kia brand.”
Hanif continues: “As a brand Kia has undergone a great design transformation in recent years, the range of models available have become desirable for their style and quality, not just because they represent excellent value for money. We are confident that the new Picanto will attract more motorists to Kia and I am sure that it will become even more popular with locals than the previous model.”
The Kia Picanto five-door goes on sale with four trim grades, badged 1, 1 Air, 2 and 3. Drivers won’t be disappointed with the all-new Picanto with body coloured bumpers, mirrors and door handles, tilt adjustable steering wheel and Motor Driven Power Steering are fitted as standard. All versions above the Picanto 1 Air come with USB and AUX ports, an iPod cable and steering wheel mounted audio controls as well as Bluetooth.
Safety is paramount and every Picanto has front, side and curtain airbags to cushion heads and torsos against impacts from any angle, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as well as anti-lock brakes (ABS) and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD).
In line with every other Kia, Picanto comes with the best warranty in the business – seven years or 100,000 miles on all non-wear and tear parts, including labour, subject to terms and conditions. The warranty is fully transferable to the next owner if the car is sold before the time or mileage limit expires.
The Picanto five-door range starts from £7,995 OTR and is on sale in the UK from 17 June. A three-door version will join the line-up for the first time later this year.
