    wlmg, It is with much sadness that I feel I must lodge a very severe complaint placed squarely on the shoulders of the Reading Staff I had the misfortune of meeting. There I was, expecting nothing but, at most, an "automated" glib response to my "chip on my windscreen of my Focus" complaint when the following series of events occurred. As you may recall, I complained about the chip on my windscreen ... via email Tuesday p.m. ( according to my eMail @ 21:30) March 22 . Any self respecting, all talk and no action company would have at most sent me the "We do care about you ( but will do nothing about it)" standard response. Not you. Wednesday 23rd March - early morning. Mobile phone rings. Steve Stenning introduces himself and treated me as though I really mattered. He was apologetic that I was left with a bad taste in my mouth, ask that I bring the car in, will give me a courtesy car until mine is fixed, and again was left feeling bad. Thursday 24th March - 10:00 a.m. I am approaching Reading WLMG and cynical old me is thinking. "I bet it will be words and crap action, as most companies seem to do". As I park the car, a gentleman approached me, waited for me to get out the car and introduced himself as Andy Holtham, the General Manager. My gob was smacked. The actions surpassed my expectations. Andy treated me as though I really mattered. Same day - circa 4 p.m. - Call from Dan. The car is ready. Friday a.m. I pick up the car. Steve Stenning introduced himself to me and treated me as though I really mattered. Chip filled. Screen smooth as the proverbial bottom and the whole experience has left the sweetest taste in our collective mouths. My complaint is that your very superior service was all words AND all action. The actions of Dan, Steve and Andy left me feeling that I really mattered. In particular they (and I must assume others in your company) showed that it is not just what you do when things go right but what you do when the go "wrong".     Dear Mr Hanif, My wife and I would like to take this opportunity to let you know of our appreciation for the efforts and support of the WLMG team at the High Wycombe branch which we consider to be nothing but exemplary. We had purchased a Qashqai N-Tec diesel automatic earlier in June of this year. We were due to go on holiday to visit my son on the occasion of his 30th birthday in the early hours of 5th September. Unfortunately I received a phone call from my wife on Friday afternoon reporting a problem with intermittent firing of the engine on the new car. She had just filled it with fuel and my immediate reaction was that she had put petrol rather than diesel into the tank. A quick check showed that this was the case and of course she was more than upset, particularly as our ferry to the Europe was at 3.00pm that night. I called the WLMG and spoke to the sales team who immediately raised the issue with service. We arranged for the RAC to collect the car and despite its late arrival at the garage (16:00) your team pulled all the stops out to resolve the situation. Their prompt and attentive action saved the day and allowed us to travel to Spain to celebrate my sons 30th birthday for which we are most grateful. The attention and courtesy of Tony, Paul and Steve from the original purchasing discussions and especially on this occasion are nothing but brilliant and through their efforts a potentially disappointment was avoided.
